Johnny Cash "Folsom Prison Blues" Sun Studios Metal Sign
During his time Landsberg, West Germany as part of the United States Air Forces, a young Johnny Cash was part of a showing of the 1951 film Inside the Walls of Folsom Prison. The prison setting stuck with Cash, and later he would used the song "Crescent City Blues" by Gordon Jenkins as a base for "Folsom Prison Blues." Originally recorded in 1955 right here in Memphis, this Johnny Cash classic has left a lasting impact on the legacy of Sun Studios and this metal sign is in the style of the label found on the original single!
